ARTIST BIO

Early in life, creating was a part of this artist; poetry, photography, baking, and painting being some of her passions.  She takes pleasure in all of the visual beauty in this world and reproduces it in her own way.
Formal training began in her forties in a small class that met weekly in the home of Beverly Danks.  Beverly would teach her protégés new and creative techniques, inspiring them to open their imaginative minds.
Each year Danks’ Studio would display the artists’ work in the Greater Flint Area Art Gallery in Flint, Michigan.
Penny studied under Beverly for five years.
Most early works were oil on canvas.  Recently she has developed a passion for Watercolor on Yupo Paper.
Her goal is to produce art that is visually pleasing and leaves the viewer amazed by seeing something new  each time he or she, look at a piece.
